| But first, a little note from your webmaster... I'd like to thank everyone for their patience these last few months as the update of this site was put on hold. Lisa's needs trumped everything else with me these past few months and while I did not intentionally set out to ignore the website that is what happened. With the June update I will be back to the usual care and maintenance of the site. Again, thank you! - Peter |
| Vacation Bible School June 15 - 19 9:00 am-Noon "Come on down to Studio- GO!” We are looking for contestants to enter our Game Show for some REAL TEAMWORK, REAL SERVICE, and REAL FUN! No one will want to miss this year's VBS, PLEASE put these dates on your calendar. We need help from you. FIRST-,we need teachers for classes, leaders for crafts, donations of snacks, & childcare. At what age can children begin in this program? It all depends on our volunteers! The more volunteers, the more we can accommodate & witness to children of all ages. Our goal is to have a nursery for the adults who are volunteering, and classes from pre-K through those who have completed 6th grade. Our curriculum adds pre-teen and teen information as well. All youth who volunteer must have completed 7th grade or higher. This program is much work and much rewarding. If you have never helped in this capacity, try it, be blessed, & be a blessing to others. Come on down, get a backstage pass, become a crewmember. Questions and sign up requests? | Letter from Lisa Geibel (Finn) My Dear Church Family, The Day of Deliverance has come; the Day of Salvation is now! I wanted you all to know that my final day of any sort of treatment came this past Wednesday. That is IT !!!!!! This long and challenging ride since October 20 is over. Although there were days when just putting one foot in front of the other was a feat and despite some life-long physical reminders in the body, I have mixed feelings about the end of my "personal Passover". The walk with My Lord and your kind acts were wonderfully unbelievable and I can never repay you. The cards, calls, rides, gifts, prayers, and so on from you put me in a constant shaking of the head in grateful disbelief. The hair is growing back, the energy is up, my walk has never been stronger, life has NEVER been better. I could not be happier. Once again, the glory goes to The Father who continues to guide my every move. Psalm 116 says "I love The Lord for He heard my voice and cry for mercy. Because He turned His ear to me I will call on Him as long as I live.." Now, it is time to sing a New Song and live with this testimony in the pocket of my running shorts as the training for the California International Marathon begins. The date is Sunday, December 6 and you are all invited (Oops, it's church time-trust me, it will be worship time for some of us). May the God of Lazarus and Lisa bless you and be your ever-present help in trouble and the turner of water into wine on your days of celebration! |
| Facility Committee Update The committee will meet with Rann Haight on June 1, 2009. Jerry Spain and Dennis Updegraff will coordinate the sweat equity between the donors and the contractor. If you are interested, contact either one of them. The committee is still reviewing loan options and will make a decision as soon as we have enough for the down payment. If you have not yet pledged, remember that even $5.00 a week (one trip to Starbucks) will help us meet our goals! |

| From The Nursery Coordinator, Karen Clark I would like to thank sincerely all the volunteers who have donated their Sunday morning worship time to provide some TLC to young children and their parents. I especially and personally appreciate the past 4 years of nursery care for James. He is an energetic fellow, and were it not for you, we would not have ever been able to worship as a family until now. Those early childhood years go by so quickly but slowly all at the same time. The way we spend our time during them shapes who we become and what we do with our lives. God has made a way, through you, for us to be involved and for many others to come and enjoy the peacefulness of worship and excellence of teaching at Clarksburg Community Church. And, if I have omitted anyone from this list, please know you were nonetheless greatly appreciated. Without further adieu, many thanks to…(drum roll, please)….
